"There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why?
I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?"

Support ACEC/PAC for a Chance to Win a Drone Valued at $1200!
ACEC/PAC is the engineering industry's primary tool for political engagement at the national level. Supported by engineering professionals from across the country who work for member firms, the sole purpose of ACEC/PAC is to elect candidates to the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate who support policies and legislation favorable to the engineering industry.

ACEC/PAC is currently the largest federal PAC in the design industry, having grown more than 500% in 10 years. It supports candidates on a bipartisan basis and may give up to $5,000 to a federal candidate per election, and up to $10,000 per candidate for their federal election cycle. In the last election cycle, ACEC/PAC's winning percentage was 97%.

Business Council Updates
In our continuing efforts to add value to your membership in ACEC, we will be conducting a series of one-day Business Forums in Louisiana. The goal of these forums is to provide education and training for members on topics that include market development, operations management, and personnel management.

Forum attendees will learn in-depth information about key issues and how they directly impact their firms. The Forums will be organized by the Business Council, which is a new committee ACECL has formed. The Business Council is comprised of members with interest and expertise in business and governmental affairs and led by ACECL Past Presidents and Chaired by Anthony Mumphrey, PhD, PE, PLS, FACEC.

Our recent membership survey was completed for the Business Forum which indicated a strong interest amongst our members in attending the Forum in March 2018. The Business Council Steering Committee is going over the survey results and developing an agenda of topics for the program based upon the results you provided. Be on the lookout for more information in the near future.
Looking forward to seeing you at Project Outlook!

Kurt M. Evans, PE, FITE, FACEC
2017-2018 ACECL President
