Clerk Spyropoulos shared her Progress Report outlining achievements in her efforts to modernize the Clerk’s Office and restore public trust. Since taking office, Clerk Spyropoulos has moved to implement a reform agenda focused on transparency, accountability, and accessibility, setting a new standard. Data Dashboard

Clerk Spyropoulos is excited to announce this office’s first-of-its-kind dashboard for public access to case initiation data dating back to 2020. Users can filter information by area of law, court location, and Circuit Court divisions and branches. Designed to be user-friendly.

Around Town

Our office has been incredibly active over the last month. Staff members have been spreading the word about the Clerk of the Circuit Court's Office throughout Cook County. MWRD Building Dedication

The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) dedicated the disinfection facility in Skokie in honor of Clerk Spyropoulos. The ultraviolet (UV) water disinfection facility is now named The Mariyana T. Spyropoulos Disinfection Facility at the O’Brien Water Reclamation Plant. 

"I Speak Cards"

Last month, Clerk Spyropoulos joined Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, Cook County Commissioner Josina Morita, and other officials to launch “I Speak Cards,” a language access service available in 34 languages.



These cards will be available at select County buildings to help residents navigate the building and help employees assist them in their preferred language.

Circuit Court Services

The Clerk of the Circuit Court is dedicated to serving the community with a variety of services. Below are some of the key services we provide.

FEATURED DIVISION:

Cases heard in the Domestic Relations Division seek an order or judgment related to the following: dissolution of marriage/civil union, declaration of invalidity of marriage/civil union, legal separation, parentage, child support, maintenance, allocation of parental responsibilities (formerly known as custody and visitation) and/or orders of protection where there is a pending dissolution or parentage matter. Such proceedings also include all post-judgment matters relating thereto and all other matters that may be brought in the Domestic Relations Division as provided in the General Orders promulgated by the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois. The Domestic Relations Division does not hear adoption or guardianship cases. The County Division hears adoption cases, and the Probate Division hears guardianship cases.


The Domestic Relations Division is in Room 802 of the Richard J Daley Center, 50 W. Washington St., Chicago, IL 60602.
