A Message From the Director
Dear FAMily and Friends,

On behalf of everyone here at FAM, I would like to extend our heartfelt wishes for your health, strength, and safety during this trying time.

I would also like to assure you that we continue to work to fulfill our mission of art, education, and community service even though the Museum is temporarily closed to the public.

Visit our website and social media platforms Facebook , Twitter , and Instagram  to enjoy our new series of on-line art experiences and activities. And even though our galleries are closed, we are still receiving great press for our current exhibitions, like this review of  Jo Sandman: The Photographic Work . Read review.

Our partnership with Fitchburg State University continues as our Curatorial and Marketing staff go on-line with Professor Rob Carr’s Document Design class to produce marketing tools and catalogues for our current exhibitions. While you’re at home, you can revisit your favorite FAM shows by checking out our many superb publications designed by students at Fitchburg State online here.

And we are maintaining our collaborations with multiple partners in the City of Fitchburg and the region, currently helping to develop economic relief programs for artists and small businesses. I’d like to share with you an inspirational video recently created by our friends at the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce that celebrates our region’s spirit of mutual support. View video.

Please know that FAM is committed to reopening as soon as the situation allows. Once conditions improve, FAM will be here for you so that you can reconnect with us, with each other, with your creativity, and with our inspiring works of art – in a Museum that is safe, clean, welcoming, and beautiful. Museums are special places for healing, personal transformation, and community building, and FAM will again be here for everyone. We look forward to this day, and we will keep you posted when we are able to set a date to open our doors and reschedule the programs and events that you have come to love and rely on.

For those of you who have kindly asked how you can be of help, your contribution of any amount to FAM’s Annual Fund provides needed support that can be put to use immediately. We appreciate that everyone is experiencing some hardship at this time and extend deep gratitude should you choose to make a gift. Donate today.

Be well. Enjoy your families. Walk your dog. Wash your hands. Love each other.

We’ll be back!

All my best,
