Dear PCA Family,
I want to make you aware of the schedule for the next couple of weeks for your planning purposes.
Prestonwood Christian Academy will continue offsite learning through April 3, 2020
, and we are prepared to extend this date if needed. Additionally, effective March 19, 2020, our operational and support staff will primarily work remotely as well to protect them and their families. These actions are necessary as we all work together to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We continue to follow guidelines established on a national level by the CDC, as well as our local health and governing authorities.
We are so fortunate to be in a school that has flexibility to respond to our current situation with virtual learning to make sure our students stay on track. Our teachers are ahead of their peers in this new environment. As we learn and provide support via remote access (online, email or phone) we want to make sure there is a personal touch and that discipleship continues. The Campus Ministry team is working diligently with our Principals to develop unique and meaningful chapel experiences.
All school calendared events through mid-April have been cancelled or postponed. These include events such as:
- Spring Musical, White Christmas
- Junior/Senior Banquet
- Middle School Jam
I have been praying that we collectively hit “reset” during these days as we are forced to evaluate our priorities. While this season can produce a lot of stress, anxiety and frustration, please do not miss the opportunity to spend quality time with your loved ones, and set an example of calm trust in God and His provision. Join me in praying for those who have been impacted by the virus, as well as protection for our community, families, first responders, medical teams and those working to find a vaccine. Above all, we pray Christ would be glorified and that many may come to faith through Christ.
Praying for you,
John P. Klingstedt
Executive Director/Interim Head of School
