A MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
Alfredo Segura, Jr., CEO
New Frontiers Public Schools
Dear Parent/Guardians,

Yesterday, Mayor Ron Nirenberg and Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff issued a  Stay Home/Work Safe order  detailing that residents in San Antonio and the county’s suburban cities must stay home except to make essential trips. Therefore, we are extending the closure of our campus classrooms through Friday, April 24. During this time, campus offices will remain accessible by phone and email, but district facilities will be closed to visitors.

Although our campuses are closed, we continue to operate as a district. Our leadership and staff remains committed to supporting our families during the campus closures by delivering  virtual instruction  that supports distance learning, providing  curbside meals  for the community and sharing  helpful resources

We encourage our families to be diligent with distance learning as the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has indicated that the days we remain out of school will not have to be made up so long as a continuity of education remains in place. Our educators are committed to providing high-quality online instruction. Frank L. Madla Accelerated Collegiate Academy virtual instruction can be accessed  here  and Frank L. Madla Early College High School families can access digital learning  here .

We will continue to coordinate with other school districts and health agencies to closely monitor developments regarding the COVID-19 situation. The safety and well-being of our community remains at the forefront of our decisions. All updates will be shared via our newly launched  COVID-19 Response Information page , social media, email and phone.

If you have any questions about the COVID-19 virus call the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District's COVID-19 hotline, (210) 207-5779. The hotline is available in English and Spanish and is open Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

We appreciate your patience and support as we work together to continue forward as one community.
Respectfully,

Alfredo Segura, Jr.
