Dear Parents and Guardians,

Amid growing concerns regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), Piedmont Public Schools is closely monitoring the situation and working with local and state health department officials. We are making the necessary preparations in the event COVID-19 becomes prevalent in the Oklahoma City metro area. We will always act out of an abundance of caution to protect the health and well-being of our school community.

If you are traveling over spring break, whether domestically or internationally, please be aware of COVID-19 hotspots and areas of increased risk. Students and staff traveling to or from a Level 2 or 3 area, or who will be in physical contact with others who are, must submit to a 14-day mandatory self-quarantine and seek medical clearance.

We stand ready to assist families who require isolation due to pre-existing medical conditions of a student or family member. If at any time individual quarantine becomes necessary, please contact your site principal. Faculty and staff will work with your student to keep them as current as possible in their studies.

Also, please understand it may become necessary to close our schools due to public health and safety concerns. We encourage families to prepare for the possibility of this drastic measure being required in the future.

The safety of our district’s students and families is a top priority. Additional information and updates will be sent out as they become available.
