A message from ACOEM President Stephen A. Frangos, MD, MPH, FACOEM

We are navigating uncharted waters. As healthcare professionals, we are called to assist in preparations for and response to the COVID-19 pandemic, often in emergent situations. You are putting yourself, and by extension, your families, at risk of exposure to ensure others receive adequate care.

The leadership team at the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) and I are proud of the selfless efforts of clinicians, healthcare workers, hospital and clinic staff, and the less visible but vitally important supply chain personnel working together to combat the virus. On behalf of ACOEM's leadership, thank you.

The College is here to support you. We are working to keep you informed with the latest news, research, and resources. During these challenging times, we encourage you to take steps to protect your own health, both physical and mental. One cannot serve from an empty vessel.

Together, we will emerge from the other side of the curve, with new lessons, strategies, and tactics to better prepare us for future global emergencies. Once again, thank you for your unwavering effort and energy.

In solidarity,

Stephen Frangos, MD, MPH, FACOEM
