Greetings Friends and Neighbors,

I am excited to officially kick off our Move with the Mayor initiative a community-wide effort to promote physical and mental wellness. Because here in Broadview, we believe that a healthy community is a STRONG community.

Staying active isn’t just about fitness, it’s about taking control of your health, reducing stress, building relationships, and setting a positive example for our youth and families. When we move together, we grow stronger together mentally, physically, and socially.

To make it fun and engaging, we’re inviting you to join our step challenge on the StepUp app!

Here’s how to get started:

IMPORTANT NOTICE

REGARDING VACANT PROPERTY NOTICE AND PUBLIC HEALTH COMPLIANCE!

In the Village of Broadview, we believe in creating a safe, supportive community for everyone — and that means standing up against domestic violence in all its forms.

Domestic violence is not just physical, it’s emotional, psychological, and often invisible. It affects people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. That’s why we’re proud to support the Power Pouch Project, a powerful initiative aimed at providing resources and awareness for those seeking a way out and a way forward.

Led by Deputy Chief Brandy Johnson and Fire and Police Commissioner Angenita Jordan-Harper, this project is bringing critical attention to domestic violence, not only in Broadview, but throughout the Proviso Township Law Enforcement Agencies. The Power Pouch is more than a care package, it’s a symbol of hope, support, and the journey toward a safe space.

This fundraiser helps provide victims with discreet emergency items, information, and connections to help when they need it most.

Support the movement. Spread the word. Be the difference. Together, we can break the silence and build a community where no one walks alone.

Slow down. Stop at the stop signs. Obey the law

The Broadview Police Department will be enforcing traffic safety to protect our families and neighborhoods. Our children are outside playing, riding their bikes, and walking to our parks.

Let’s keep them safe.

We all play a role in creating a safer community.
