Traffic Calming Projects
On May 15th, the City Council approved the Public Works Department to construct traffic calming on Dalton Cir. and Dreyfuss Blvd. The Dalton Cir. project would include three speed tables along Dalton Cir from Port St. Lucie Blvd to Oakner St. with a raised intersection at Dalton & Oakner and another speed table on Oakner, between Dalton Cir and Tulip Blvd.
The Dreyfuss Blvd. project would include three speed tables along Dreyfuss from Letchworth St. to Rosser Blvd. with raised intersections at Dreyfuss Blvd & Fambrough and Cohutta Streets.
Federal Funding for Adaptive Traffic Signalization
The City Council officially approved a resolution on May 22nd, authorizing the City to engage in a Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The purpose of this agreement is to implement Adaptive Traffic Signal Control Systems at six intersections along SW Galtin Blvd., stretching from SW Village Pkwy to SW Savona Blvd. Through this collaborative effort, the project will receive $600,000 in Federal funding, significantly reducing the burden on our taxpayers. The installation of these advanced systems will enhance traffic flow along the east-west corridor, benefiting commuters and residents alike.

Honoring Veterans and
Celebrating Pulte Homes' Built to Honor Program
| |
On May 22nd, I had the privilege to attend the groundbreaking for a future home to honor U.S. Air Force veteran, Francis "Frankie" Reilly, his wife and three children with a mortgage-free home thanks to the Built to Honor program by homebuilder, PulteGroup.
Along with community partners, we paid tribute to remarkable veterans, highlighting the inspiring story of USAF Master Sergeant Reilly who proudly served our country and is now permanently disabled. Despite his disability, he is a symbol of resilience and determination. The program, which has provided over 75 mortgage-free homes to eligible veterans nationwide, marks a significant milestone as Master Sergeant Reilly begins his new journey in Port St. Lucie's Heron Preserve neighborhood, supported by the city and its commitment to honoring those who have served. I'm extremely proud that our city continues to be a Hometown for Heroes!
