Transforming Our Gym Through Community

What an unforgettable day! When 75 members of the Premier Nutrition family arrived, they brought joy, hard work, and a whole lot of heart. Together, they planted flowers, painted rocks, revitalized our gym, and brought a young artist’s mural to life. The place was transformed, and so were we.

As we shared a meal, the camaraderie was as beautiful as the work. We are deeply grateful to Premier Nutrition’s leadership for supporting this day of service, and to every single team member who made our nonprofit shine. A special thanks to HandsOn Bay Area for orchestrating it all so seamlessly.

Celebrating Our 2026 Graduates

One of the best things about EOBA is watching extraordinary young people grow into leaders. We have seen them develop empathy, resilience, confidence, and a genuine commitment to others. We could not be more proud of the seniors graduating from schools across Oakland.

At EOBA, schools, neighborhoods, and blocks do not define us. We are family. Together, these young people have learned to support one another, work as a team, and lead with kindness.

To the Class of 2026: Dream big, work hard, and never let anyone tell you what you cannot achieve. Stay true to yourself, lead with integrity, and continue showing kindness and compassion wherever life takes you. The world needs more people like you.

May Day Delivers Sunshine and Success

After a gray and cloudy start, the skies cleared just in time for our annual Mayday Fundraiser, setting the stage for a beautiful spring afternoon.

Guests gathered in our newly designed Cabana Lounge for refreshments, toured the campus, and enjoyed the many improvements across the campus. From the lush gardens to the renovated gym and transformed multi-purpose room, visitors saw firsthand the continued growth and investment in our community.

The highlight of the afternoon was a powerful video featuring our young people, who shared their experiences and the impact EOBA has had on their lives. Their stories reminded everyone why this work matters.

We were also proud to recognize outstanding community leaders and partners, including Adonal Foyle of the Kerosene Lamp Foundation, Lao Family Community Development, The League of Women Voters Oakland, and K&K Empathway Design for their commitment to strengthening our communities.

Most importantly, thanks to the generosity of our donors, sponsors, partners, and supporters, we met our fundraising goal. Your support keeps this work moving forward.

Every gift helps EOBA continue showing up for young people and families in Deep East Oakland by providing safe spaces, mentorship, youth employment, academic support, wellness activities, food access, and community events that bring our neighbors together.
