Partner Spotlight: YWCO Girls Club
Celebrating its 45th summer this year, the YWCO Girls Club is a staple for many Clarke County young girls. The program, which now hosts nearly 300 girls, provides learning opportunities throughout the summer beyond a typical classroom. These young girls learn in creative and active ways, from puppet making and play creation to yoga and swimming. For community members, one direct way to get involved is to participate in the YWCO Girls Club DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) To Me program by reading to the girls each morning. More information will be available later this spring for how you can volunteer.

The YWCO Girls Club is an educational and recreational summer day camp that provides girls experiences that foster academic success, character development, goal setting, making good choices, good health and nutrition, and giving back to the community.
