I hope you're enjoying the start of summer! If you celebrated Father's Day this month, I hope it was filled with love, laughter, and time with those who matter most.

Looking back on June, one word keeps coming to mind: connection.

This month brought meaningful recording sessions, precious time with my family, a long-awaited reunion with a dear friend, and the joy of introducing my son to the power of networking as he begins his professional journey.

It also reminded me that some of life's best stories are the ones we never see coming... including one unexpected little visitor in my bedroom!  (More on that below. 😊)

 Behind the Mic

June was a rewarding month behind the microphone, with several recording sessions completed from my home studio.

One milestone I'm especially excited about was recording my first bilingual telephony project for longtime client PHMG.

The month also included two Spanish-language political sessions with my friends at Adrenaline Studios, continuing a collaboration I always enjoy.

And to top it all off, I was thrilled to join the roster at LOTAS Productions —another exciting step in my journey.



I'm incredibly grateful for the trust of both longtime clients and new partners alike.

This Made My Day...

One of the most rewarding parts of this work is hearing from clients after a project wraps.

After completing an internal Toyota dubbing project, I received this thoughtful note:

"Thank you for being so thorough, Nydia; I appreciate your attention to detail. The takes sound great, and they'll work perfectly! Thank you so much!"

Comments like these remind me that great voiceover is about much more than delivering a performance. It's also about making the entire production process smooth, dependable, and enjoyable.

🌱 Networking Through My Son's Eyes

One of my favorite moments this month wasn't actually about me.

My son graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Engineering Physics and has started attending networking events with me while beginning his job search.

Watching him introduce himself, ask thoughtful questions, and begin building professional relationships reminded me that networking isn't about collecting business cards. It's about genuine curiosity, meaningful conversations, and showing sincere interest in others.

Seeing him take those first steps has been incredibly rewarding.

❤️ Family Time

One of the biggest highlights of June was having my daughter come visit us in Florida.

Between beach sunsets, family dinners, and simply enjoying time together, I was reminded once again how precious these moments become as our children begin building lives of their own.



Needless to say... every minute together was treasured.

🤝 Relationship Spotlight

One of the sweetest moments this month was reconnecting with my friend Irene Balado.We first met years ago in Chicago, and after six years we finally had the chance to sit down together here in Clearwater.



It's amazing how genuine friendships can pick up right where they left off.

🦇 June's Most Unexpected Guest...

Just when I thought June couldn't get any more interesting...

A tiny baby bat somehow found its way into my bedroom!



Thankfully, the little visitor was safely captured and released outside.

Definitely not the kind of networking I had planned... 😂

Looking Ahead...

July will be another exciting month!

I'll be traveling to Chicago to help my daughter move into her new apartment, and if all goes according to plan, there may even be some kayaking or scuba diving over the Fourth of July weekend.



We'll also be welcoming family visiting from Mexico as they experience Disney for the very first time!

I can't wait to share those adventures with you next month.

💛 One Thought Before I Go...

One thing June reminded me is that meaningful connections don't happen by accident.

Whether with family, friends, clients, or people we meet for the very first time, relationships grow when we make time for them.

I'm grateful that my career allows me to build those connections every day—both inside and outside the recording booth.
