A Chinese Christmas Story
From Past To Present

Near Christmas 2010, it was a frigid 35°F (almost 0°C), wet & sprinkling in Chengdu, Sichuan, China.

If you know anything about that part of China in the winter, you’ll know it’s a type of cold that chills deep into your bones regardless of the number of layers you have on.

Randy and Miller were slated to speak in front of an expectant crowd of 50 parents eager to learn how to be better parents.

These parents hold on to the hopes of their children’s education, carrying the lineage and legacy of their family.

Where their children end up from this primary school determines their overall trajectory and stature in life so the earlier they can start improving their lives, the higher likelihood they are to find success later in society.

That's more than 50 parents.
Instead of the 50 parents that were expected to show up, 900 more came hungry to learn and covered the entire schoolyard.

This conference struck a chord with the local community and sent waves across China that are still felt to this very day almost 11 years later.

As a result of our partnership together, Daisy, the principal we partnered with was voted the top principal nationally and is still a major partner of the ongoing work with our organization.

The partnership also brought some recognition to Daisy’s school as a national example for Chinese education. Her school also hosted visits from prominent figures like former British Prime Minister David Cameron and other dignitaries.

Some of the children of the conference attendees are now at prestigious schools in other parts of the world; their parents to this day, still credit the conference for their overwhelming success.
While other organizations came and left, LMI through partnerships like this one continues to operate on a scale unheard of at any level in the country. For example, despite the pandemic affecting our world as a whole, we are still actively holding conferences, consultations & trainings online with Christians, leaders, potential leaders & families.

There’s a divine appointment and favor our Father provides that allows us to operate free of interference and even to this day, with the state of the world, doors are continuing to open.

If you’re looking for an organization to contribute to this holiday season and for year-end giving, we strongly hope you’ll consider supporting the amazing work God continues to do through LMI.

We will continue to share more stories of lives being changed in China & beyond by the love and message of Christ!
