Our new resource supports schools in developing robust, long-lasting farm to school programs. It reflects 20 years of practice, evaluative research, and innovation in the field that updates earlier Vermont FEED resources with new approaches, templates, and tools organized around our farm to school action planning process .

Apply for the Northeast Farm to School Institute
The Northeast Farm to School Institute is a unique year-long professional learning opportunity for selected school, early childhood, and district teams from New England and New York. It kicks off with a Summer Retreat at Shelburne Farms in Vermont June 29–July 1, 2020. Whether you're a long-time farm to school advocate or just looking to begin, you're invited to form a team and apply.
Linking the Big Ideas of Food System Education Across the School Community
Farm to school can be a lens through which "big ideas" are explored in the curriculum. By pairing the two, learning is reinforced with hands-on activities and real-world connections that stick with students for the long-haul. We recently worked with Cabot School toward this effort. 
Across the Fence Highlights Vermont FEED & Farm to School in Our State
Twenty years ago, Vermont was an early adopter of the Farm to School movement. Now, 65% of Vermont schools report having a connection with a farm or farmer! Vermont is a leader in this field, and Fran Stoddard of UVM Extension's Across the Fence spoke with Project Director Betsy Rosenbluth to learn more.
