Dear sisters and brothers in Christ Jesus, part of a growing repentance remnant globally,
There is a parallel today. Those today--- you and me--- who are called to use personal and national repentance to call on God's Mercy based on His Word in 2 Chronicles 7:14, to "hear from heaven, forgive sin and heal our land" resemble those who gathered in Philadelphia in 1776 to declare Independence from Great Britain.
Of course there's a difference. In 1776 those who traveled to Philadelphia were among the best known, most honored public figures in the colonies, notably Adams and Jefferson. Today we are the grassroots intercessors.
But the Word of God is our strength and we are honoring His call on our lives: Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord. Happy are the people he chose for his very own ~ Psalm 33:12 (International Children's Bible).
Joy follows repentance. The JOY of the Lord is our strength as we rebuild the walls of our nation through repentance.
Today this nation, founded in God's Liberty, is undergoing a Refiner's Fire. May we experience July 4 as a Day of Deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God almighty. May we take time each day to pray to God, to repent, to remove old sin patterns, to remove any remnant of racism in our hearts and minds, to get ready for the Bridegroom's soon coming.
And following the historical precedent and Wisdom of our Founders like John Adams, may the call go forward for God's Solution --- a national day of humiliation, fasting and prayer ----once again to be used to allow the Lord to hear from heaven, forgive our sins, and heal our land.
May repentance re-birth the United States of America!

“So few actually grasp the need to not just give lip service to repentance but to allow the Spirit of God to do His work to the very marrow of our bones in order that we arise washed in the blood of Christ, living close to Him, and displaying His image as we do. We too often see the need for others to repent without having first lingered in His presence until His work is done in us. I love the words in Joshua which, following circumcision, it says "they stayed in the camp until they were whole."
It has always amazed me how God takes us as far as we can go and then, when we can bear it, takes a further into His life and likeness. If we don't incrementally allow this work, we will never know the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering nor the healing which comes from the top of our head to the souls of our feet."
Do you also see repentance as vital for our times? To our knowledge National Day of Repentance is the only Christian ministry focusing solely on personal and national repentance in every nation and applying it in our lives.
