A bookclub highlighting books that help us all gain more access to our own wisdom. We’ll discuss a range of books, from self-help to memoir to creative nonfiction, that give us insight into our own minds and help us take action and live out our values.
October’s book, The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown, is one I recommend to my clients the most. It’s an easy read and full of great stories and practical tools.

First Friday Tech Chat: Online Identity Theft

According to usa.gov: identity (ID) theft happens when someone steals your personal information to commit fraud. The thief could use your information to apply for credit, file taxes, or get medical services. These acts can damage your credit status, and cost you time and money to restore your good name.
We'll discuss the warning signs of ID theft and look at various ways to protect yourself.

Genealogy Club: The Basics of Archival Storage

This class presents the basics of archival principles, digitization, storytelling and how to create a legacy with pictures, documents and artifacts. The discussion is rooted in the idea that our lives matter and that we are all someone else’s ancestor. Attendees will walk away knowing where to begin, learn the best location within their home to store documents, receive a presentation of archival enclosures, and will get tips on organizing materials.

Play & Learn Festival

Literacy begins long before we learn our ABCs. Join us to learn about some fun ways to engage with young children and help them prepare for Kindergarten. Libraries are more than just books, come and learn what else libraries have to offer. There will be toys and games to play with and fun for anyone who interacts with children ages birth through 8.
