We have some exciting news to share! While our campaign has always focused on raising the capital needed to purchase and rebuild the old tennis club property, we wanted to wait until April 30 to make an official determination on next steps. Since March, we have deposited donations totalling nearly $750,000, with 327 Friend of the Village households pledging their ongoing support. While just shy of our original $800,000 and 400 member goal, the current numbers put us in a solid position to close on the property, complete year-one improvements, and plan for the future.
The official announcement:
We are MOVING FORWARD and plan to close on The Village Club & Preserve property very soon!
Given the state of the pools and our desire to start the ball rolling on our building project, we have requested a May closing (originally slated for June). Let’s carry on the momentum, get out there, and get to work! We will be keeping you informed of developments, the closing date, upcoming celebrations, workdays, and opportunities to get engaged.
We have seen so many of you express excitement at being a part of this volunteer effort and already feel a kinship and spirit of collaboration growing within our community. We can’t wait to get to know all of you better as we work to rebuild alongside our neighbors!
Thank you for your continued support.
