Child’s Dream & Community Dream Cambodian Partnership
CCDO is proud to welcome a new partner, Child’s Dream Cambodia, who have been successfully promoting education in Cambodia, Laos and Thailand for the past 15 years.

Child’s Dream has generously donated $11,000 to our COVID-19 Awareness Campaign.

We are targeting 94 new villages with 17,000 beneficiaries. CCDO will deliver 17,000 masks plus 20,000 bars of soap over the next few months. Most importantly we will also spread accurate and helpful information about COVID-19 prevention through our tuk-tuk loudspeaker announcements.

Child’s Dream Cambodia has additionally donated $9,000 for rice seeds to 150 farmers in the target area, so that the poorest of the poor will have a chance to grow their own food. At harvest time thr farmers will pay back in rice that will go to our free school breakfast program. A big thanks to their Cambodia Director, Yem Khlok and their Senior Coordinator, Narong Sean, for their diligence in overseeing this project. We hope to continue our collaboration for many years to come.

100 Additional SAFE Homes
Encore for Rotary Club Sentosa, Singapore as they have done it again! We are so excited to announce the approval of the second WASH project which will build new roofs on 100 homes as well as provide 64 new latrines and 40 new wells for deserving rural families.

The Global Grant for this project is $80,000.

A huge thanks to Michael Quek, Marion Nicole Teo & Manju Govin who spearheaded this initiative. Our team on the ground worked around the clock to survey the 100 neediest villagers and to prepare all the documents for this global grant with only 1 week lead time. No work from home for our dedicated team, who are putting themselves and their families at risk in time of COVID-19 so they may help their fellow Cambodians.

Staff News
CCDO is so proud of our partnership with the US Embassy in Cambodia. It is not only funding our English Project, but also helping our colleagues boost their English skills to improve the quality of teaching in Cambodia.

Three of our colleagues (Leangseng Hoy, Sitha Sok, Bunsrak Pan) were sponsored to join the online International TESOL 2020 Virtual Convention & English Language Expo that was organized in the USA.

We are so proud of our team’s commitment to join and learn from the program and willingness to sacrifice sleep. Cambodia is 11 hours ahead and they were online from 7pm – 3:30am for 3 consecutive nights. The US Embassy and CCDO strongly believe they will help and inspire many hundreds of teachers in Cambodia.
