A Letter From Our Principal:
Last Spring, we were blown away by the way our community came together to support Ballard families that were struggling due to COVID-19. With that support, we were able to pay for groceries, basic needs, rent, utilities and for some digital learning devices like printers and Chromebooks (before the district was able to make it to 1:1 devices). The best part for our Ballard Cares team was building relationships with these families and showing them how much they are loved in our school and our community.
In the Spring, none of us thought that the pandemic would still have such a grip on our community. Fortunately, some of our families have been able to return to work, but there are now additional families that had been living on savings that are now in need. That means that we are asking you to donate again to allow us to serve this growing number of families to help them pay for groceries, basic needs and utilities.
Many of us are fortunate to be secure financially right now and I am asking for us to come together again to show that every member of our community is loved and valued.
Thank you for any support that you can give. I can guarantee you that it is needed and appreciated.
