A NEW SAFE HAVEN FOR CHILDREN & FAMILIES IN NEED
If you were unable to attend and witness our prayer and dedication for Place of Hope's newest campus in Stuart on Wednesday night, this is a must watch.
Over 100 friends and supporters gathered on the newly acquired 11-acre campus off Cove Rd. in Stuart to celebrate the desperately needed and incredible life changing mission work happening at Place of Hope. Guests in attendance included Senator Gayle Harrell, State Representative John Snyder, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder, Martin County Commissioner Ed Ciampi, Port St. Lucie Police Chief Deputy Richard Del Toro and Christ Fellowship Founders and Place of Hope Co-Founders Pastor Tom and Donna Mullins.
"There are so many kids removed for eminent danger in their homes and they have to go somewhere. And they just can't go anywhere. They need to go where it is high quality and where they are going to be raised up for the time they are going to be in the system and we don't know how long that will be. That's why every day matters that we train them up like we would with our own children." Charles Bender, Founding CEO, Place of Hope.
To learn more about the campus and how you can support the programs and initiatives, email JamieB@placeofhope.com.

WHAT IS SHADE TREE FAMILY OUTREACH?
|
|
Shade Tree Family Outreach Program, we are providing family outreach and intervention programs, family strengthening initiatives and critical services to families and children who are navigating the child welfare system. All programs and service offered through Shade Tree Family Outreach are aimed at supporting and blessing children and families dealing with the dependency/child welfare and foster care systems; meeting emergency and family preservation needs; expanding the ministry reach of Place of Hope. Shade Tree Family Outreach also promotes child abuse and neglect prevention and awareness, and child advocacy.

WHY IT MATTERS. WHY YOU MATTER.
|
|
Recently, three children ages 12 years, 3 years, and 6 months were returned to a non relative care giver. The biological family was unable or unwilling to care for the sibling group. Though they came with mostly nothing, the baby came with absolutely nothing.
Through our Shade Tree Family Outreach Program, and work with our friends at Hands and Feet, these three littles were welcomed into the care givers arms, and were able to receive the material support they needed. These basic material items are often the small things that make a huge impact. Shade Tree Family Outreach is able to provide these fundamental and every day items because of the community who rallies to help collect these items.
We are grateful for our friends and supporters who have hosted drives to collect the everyday essentials, or who have donated toward Shade Tree Family Outreach enabling us to purchase the needed items.

THANK YOU TO THESE SHADE TREE DRIVE HOSTS!
|
|
We are so thankful for our friends at NextEra who are hosting a summer time drive to benefit the children and families in care at Place of Hope. For the month of July they are collecting diapers, wipes, socks and more! For those who would rather give than shop, NextEra has encouraged employees to donate toward Shade Tree Family Outreach.
|
|
Our friends at Carr Riggs & Ingram are also hosting a summer long drive to benefit the children and families in care at Place of Hope. July through August they are collecting diapers, wipes, socks and underwear, new and gently used clothing, non perishable goods, new and gently used strollers, car seats, cribs and pack & plays. Thank you!

|
Thank you International Materials who always says yes! We recently asked them if they would host a drive to benefit the children and families being cared for through our Shade Tree Family Outreach Program. Their team showed up in overwhelming numbers to give financial gifts, or donate diapers, wipes, formula and baby clothing!
|
|
First Republic decided to get their employees involved in charity by hosting a drive for back to school supplies, diapers and wipes, cribs, non perishables and more!
We love seeing our community rally for the greater good! Thank you for being a leader in Palm Beach County.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO OUR GENESIS COTTAGE!
|
|
Eight years ago we opened our Genesis Cottage in South County on our Boca Raton Campus. As the needs in the community presented themselves, the services and program offered in this cottage pivoted to meet the needs. In just 8 years with your help, we have been able to serve:
-
54 boys as an emergency shelter for boys
-
A sibling group of 6, keeping them together, as residential neighborhood family style foster care cottage
-
6 single mothers with children
-
7 young adults in extended foster care (over 18 years old, but still in high school)
We are so thankful for the visionary leaders who have stepped up and poured into this cottage transforming over 70 lives! Consider a gift to celebrate! placeofhope.com/donate.

Not only is Will Clervil Tiano leading with excellence, but also by example. Will grew up in foster care at Place of Hope. He set his sights on his future and never looked back. After graduating from Jupiter Christian School with honors, Will went to South Eastern University to play football on a scholarship. He graduated with his bachelors, and then masters in social work. During his time in school, Will also worked part time on staff at Place of Hope. After working in the field as a case manager for DCF, Will has officially joined the Place of Hope team fulltime as a Therapist and Support Specialist at Villages of Hope!
"I chose this field of work to help other people beat the odds and make the impossible, possible." We are so thankful for Will and his perseverance. He truly is an inspiration to our youth and our staff!

The Crossfit Squad has stepped up to host a Crossfit Competition Fundraiser, "Throwdown for the Kids" for Place of Hope! Since launching their challenge, they have raised over $10,000 for the kids at Place of Hope!
"We host Throwdown For The Kids because we want to make a difference in the world for kids that had little chance at a normal life. We raise these funds in hopes of bettering these children after being saved from trafficking. As a father I can’t imagine this type of thing and how it must affect a person. The least we can do is this." Derek Bishop, Owner and Coach The Crossfit Squad.

Born in Peru, Nancy always had a soft spot in her heart for children in need. When she was a teenager, she put her love into action and volunteered at a local orphanage. A few years ago, Nancy became a foster parent and learned about the statistics of needy children in our area and the great need for more services.
After witnessing the good work Place of Hope does for children in the foster care system, she became a member of their Leadership Advisory Council. Nancy is committed to supporting the organization with its high level of care, commitment and continuous efforts of improving the conditions of children. She feels the standards at Place of Hope are truly admirable and is impressed with the results of the care provided to children resulting in some of them becoming professionals and positive influencers in our society.

One of the best ways to bless our foster families is with family meal donations! With school starting up, these are needed now especially. Like many families, our cottage parents are managing busy schedules for six kids including family visits, therapy, school, tutoring, mentoring, extra curricular activities, team sports and more! Donate a family meal to serve 8-10 people. This can be homemade, store bought or ordered & delivered! Schedule a meal donation today and bless a foster family!
