A Message from a Board Member...
Hi, I am one of the new directors appointed to the board at the Pineapple Playhouse.
I have always been intrigued with musicals and movies. I was never really exposed to Theatre as a young girl, but I remember spending a lot of time in my room, acting out all the scenes that I just saw in the latest movie.
After 42 years of being a registered nurse and bringing up two wonderful daughters, my husband and I relocated from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2016.
In 2019 I walked into the Pineapple Playhouse for an audition, and I have never left. You might have seen me in 'Calendar Girls', 'Harvey', 'Alabama Story', 'Four Old Broads' and a few more.
I absolutely love being on the stage. When I’m not on the stage, I may be behind the stage as a stage manager. I have become enthralled with all the aspects of community theatre. I feel so lucky to have found such a passion in this stage of my life.
Be certain to check out our website at pineappleplayhouse.com for all the dates and times for our new season of shows. We have such a wonderful season coming up. Please don’t miss them! We would also love for you to get involved and be part of our terrific community. We look forward to seeing you at the Pineapple Playhouse.

Drinking Habits
by Tom Smith
Sept. 6th - 22nd
Accusations, mistaken identities, and romances run wild in this traditional, laugh-out-loud farce. Two nuns at the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing have been secretly making wine to keep the convent's doors open, but Paul and Sally, reporters and former fiancees, are hot on their trail. They go undercover as a nun and priest, but their presence, combined with the addition of a new nun, spurs paranoia throughout the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down. Wine and secrets are inevitably spilled as everyone tries to preserve the convent and reconnect with lost loves.

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
by Christopher Durang
Jan. 10th - 26th

Suddenly, their movie-star sister, Masha, swoops in with her new boy toy, Spike. Old resentments flare up, eventually leading to threats to sell the house. Also on the scene are sassy maid Cassandra, who can predict the future, and a lovely young aspiring actress named Nina, whose prettiness somewhat worries the imperious Masha.

Squabbles
aka Your House or Mine
by Marshall karp
Feb. 14 - March 2
This hilarious play pits a father in law against a mother in a comedic succession of squabbles. Jerry Sloan is a successful writer of advertising jingles married to an equally successful lawyer. Living with the happy couple is the not so happy Abe Dreyfus, Jerry's curmudgeon of a father in law. Abe is a funny guy to the audience, not to Jerry. The situation is exacerbated when Jerry's mother Mildred looses her house in a fire and needs a place to stay. Abe and Mildred can't stand each other. This play is one hilarious confrontation after another until the heart warming finale in which the oldsters discover that, really, each is not so bad.
