Hello Friends!

And just like that it is March! We are extending our hours so now we can serve you a little later into the evenings.

Mon- Saturday 10-5

Sunday 12-4

We have a lot going on this month! A new special is starting today, and we are extending Senior Days through March! We have our first native plant presale and popup of 2023 this week! The plants, prices, and times are listed near the end of the newsletter.

As your local Bluebird experts, we think there is still time to prepare for Bluebird nesting season. The best things you can do to prepare are to get bird houses purchased, or cleaned, mounted, and ready. It helps to set out or clean your bird bath too. Bluebirds can have up to three broods in a season if everything goes well. Some things that will help them succeed are plenty of housing, access to water, lots of protein and healthy fats from mealworms or sunflower chips, and some insect suet. If you have any questions or need advice, come see us. Soon enough we will be seeing baby birds!

Our spring outings are coming up fast. If you have not registered for them yet, please do so ASAP! If you live in Brunswick County and want to do something local there, check out Jill's Birding in Brunswick which she does with Leland Parks & Recreation and Breakfast with the Birds which she is doing with the Town of Oak Island Recreation. See more information below.

Keep in mind that we continue to offer curbside pickup. If you prefer not to go into the store in person, just give us a call and order on the phone. We will bring it out to your car for you! No contact, safe, and helpful!

We currently have Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Garden Tour tickets in the shop. These tickets are $50 each and we can only take cash or check for them. These tickets go quickly so get yours while you can!

Thank you for joining us in this space!

Happy birding!
