Register today for ALA Mission Training! New this year, ALA has two levels of training.
Mission Training 101: Delivery
helps American Legion Auxiliary members better understand our mission of serving veterans, the military, and their families. These meetings will be held in conjunction with the national Junior meetings.
Who should attend?
- Any enthused, new, or newly active member who wants a deeper understanding of how to use tools the Auxiliary provides in mission delivery.
When & Where?
- Las Vegas, Nev. – Jan. 25, 2020 (the last day to register is Jan. 15!)

Mission Training 201: Development:
This training helps members overcome common hurdles in mission delivery.
Who should attend?
- Volunteers with a desire to make a big difference in how we serve our mission, who have a passion to see our organization greatly improve, and those who are seeking to be part of a team to attract, engage, recruit, and retain others.

- Hartford, Conn. – March 14, 2020
- Albuquerque, N.M. – March 21, 2020

Spend Martin Luther King Jr. Day in service to others
|
|
The Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service is Jan. 20. This is a great opportunity for ALA members to serve the community. Days of service focus on empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and creating solutions to social problems. Not sure where to start or what service project to do?
Read our blog for ideas. As you serve, make sure unit members are wearing ALA branded clothing so you can easily be identified. Remember to contact local media about your project and take pictures to share on social media!

New scholarship available for American Legion Auxiliary Juniors

American Legion Auxiliary Junior members are the future of our organization. To reward those who retain their membership into adulthood, the American Legion
Auxiliary
offers the Junior Member Loyalty Scholarship. Candidates must have been Junior members of the ALA and held membership for the past three consecutive years (2017, 2018, and 2019) and must be a paid member for the current 2020 membership year. For a full list of qualifications and to apply,

Auxiliary
magazine. This issue t
akes a look back how the ALA has made an impact over the last century, along with historical photos and interesting facts.
Click here to read it today. If you would like extra copies of this issue, contact us at alamagazine@ALAforVeterans.org. Magazines are available in cases of 50 for $40 each. Limited quantities are available. The extra magazines can be used to promote the American Legion Auxiliary. Consider taking them to local U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers, coffee shops, libraries, etc. Send to local media outlets and direct them to the special 100th anniversary section. Distribute in other clubs/organizations you're involved in. There are several ways you and your Public Relations chair can put the publication to use.
