SUPPORT TEACHERS MORE EFFECTIVELY

There are enormous new demands on the teaching force right now, among them new Common Core standards, an increased focus on teacher evaluation, and tightening school budgets. These demands create an opportunity to rethink traditional professional development and take a new, broader approach: Professional Growth & Support.

Our new set of publications and tools introduces the concept of Professional Growth & Support: any use of people, time, and money that targets improvement of teachers. With a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, ERS has identified six innovative ways school systems can strengthen teacher growth, and developed self-assessment tools and case-studies to get districts started. Check out our tools below!
