We’ve started the year with a renewed focus on serving San Francisco youth and strengthening the impact of our work across the city. Over the past decade, through moments of uncertainty and change, 3rd Street has consistently adapted to ensure young people continue to receive the care, resources, and support they need. As policy and funding shifts continue at the local and federal levels, our team remains responsive, working to remove barriers to accessing housing, health care, and personal development opportunities so youth can get the help they need, when and where they need it. | | |
Mentorship Dinner
Earlier this month, our Health & Youth Development (HYD) team gathered with our newest cohort of Health Core Fellows and mentors for an evening of connection, reflection, and community, in partnership with Umoja Health Access Point (HAP). These mentorship convenings create space for fellows and mentors to build relationships, share a meal, and engage in meaningful conversations around personal growth, academic goals, and future pathways in health care and beyond.

Interested in becoming a Mentor?Apply Today!
January is National Mentoring Month, and we’re inviting community members to serve as mentors for our 2025–26 Health Core Fellowship Program. Mentors play a powerful role in helping young people build confidence, explore career pathways, and take meaningful steps toward their goals. As a Health Core mentor, you’ll meet monthly with a youth fellow, participate in community dinners, offer guidance on projects and professional development, and support goal-setting throughout the year.
If your New Year intention includes giving back or supporting the next generation of health leaders, we’d love to connect with you.
