2014 in Monroe-West Monroe is starting off with a bang! Ag Expo 2014, January 17-18th, will be a combination of several events all tied into one grand time! 
Mini-farms, junior livestock show, miniature cow show, a trade show and more, all contribute to making this expo a success! 
Next, when visiting Monroe-West Monroe there is always an excuse to shop. This month at the  Antique Show, January 17-19th, expect an abundance of unique glassware, furniture, linens, jewelry, silver and glass repair. You don't want to miss out on a one-of-a-kind find! 
 
America's favorite family show is coming, January 15th, to the Monroe Civic Center! The action packed,
high-energy, interactive game is fun for kids, grandparents and everyone in between. Don't miss your chance to buy tickets, because this is an evening to remember! 
    
The LSU Master Gardener's presents the Fourth Annual NELA Master Gardener's Spring Seminar, January 18th. Featured speaker Melinda Myers will present a program on "Beautiful Easy and Affordable Landscape Makeovers," keeping with our southern climate zone. Also, locals Jeff Landry, Robert Rickett and James Dean will share information in which they have expertise. Door prizes, exhibitors, freebies like garden seeds and refreshments, create an enjoyable morning for everyone.
 
Get your beads ready, and your masks on, because Mardi Gras 2014 is on its way! This year the Krewe of Janus is excited to present "Arabian Nights," and all of the fun times ahead! King cakes, beads, parades, music and more are headed your way soon! Stay tuned for more exciting details.
