Dear Ones,
Thank you so much for your generosity as we complete the first part of our Pledge Drive for 2026. We blessed about 115 pledges on Sunday which so far, amount to almost $390,000. We are aiming for $500,000 this year and we believe we can get very close as there's folks we haven't heard from yet that we know want to support Trinity's ministries in the coming year. In other news, this Sunday is something of a "New Year's Eve" in church life. It is the last Sunday of the Church year. On this Sunday, we will observe the Feast of Christ the King - celebrating Christ's Compassionate and Loving Lordship over us all. Part of our celebration will be a special Christ the King Evensong at 4pm on Sunday. Join us for this special tradition!
The following Sunday, November 30, will be the first Sunday of Advent - which is the first season of the New Year. Advent is a 4-week preparatory period to get ready for the birth of Jesus on Christmas.
As we come to the end of our liturgical year, I'd ask you to reflect: what has this last year been like for you? What has been a struggle? What has been gift? What has been both? How are you finding ways to tend to your spirit and give yourself hope amongst the challenges? How are you finding ways to offer and receive hope when it is needed most? A new year is always a time for such reflections and a church new year is no different. So I hope this will provide some time for you to think and pray about the past and look ahead to the future you want to help create.

Muchas gracias por su generosidad al completar la primera parte de nuestra campaña de donaciones para 2026. El domingo bendijimos alrededor de 115 donaciones que, hasta ahora, ascienden a casi 390 000 dólares. Nuestro objetivo para este año es alcanzar los 500 000 dólares y creemos que podemos acercarnos mucho a esa cifra, ya que hay personas de las que aún no hemos tenido noticias y que sabemos que quieren apoyar los ministerios de Trinity durante el próximo año. Por otra parte, este domingo es una especie de «Nochevieja» en la vida de la iglesia. Es el último domingo del año eclesiástico. Este domingo celebraremos la fiesta de Cristo Rey, en la que conmemoramos el reinado compasivo y amoroso de Cristo sobre todos nosotros. Como parte de nuestra celebración, tendremos un oficio especial de Cristo Rey a las 4 de la tarde del domingo. ¡Acompáñenos en esta tradición tan especial!
El próximo domingo, 30 de noviembre, será el primer domingo de Adviento, que es la primera temporada del Año Nuevo. El Adviento es un periodo preparatorio de cuatro semanas para prepararse para el nacimiento de Jesús en Navidad.
Ahora que llegamos al final del año litúrgico, les pido que reflexionen: ¿cómo ha sido este último año para ustedes? ¿Qué les ha resultado difícil? ¿Qué ha sido un regalo? ¿Qué ha sido ambas cosas? ¿Cómo están encontrando formas de cuidar su espíritu y darse esperanza en medio de los desafíos? ¿Cómo están encontrando formas de ofrecer y recibir esperanza cuando más se necesita? Un nuevo año es siempre un momento para estas reflexiones, y el año nuevo de la iglesia no es diferente. Así que espero que esto les dé tiempo para pensar y orar sobre el pasado y mirar hacia el futuro que quieren ayudar a crear.

Bring Breads for Thanksgiving!
We will host breakfast on Thanksgiving for our unhoused neighbors. Can't make it that day but want to help? Starting this Sunday, please drop off a breakfast bread: muffins, rolls, bagels, etc. that we will also provide to our guests.

Annual Quilt Show on December 7!

Grab A Tag!
Almost all the tags have been taken off of our Angel Tree that helps provide gifts to families in need this season! Thank you!
If you didn't get a tag but would still like to help, just grab a $25-$50 gift cards from places like Target, Walmart, Goodwill, HalfPrice Books, etc. and drop it off at the church.
OR you can pick out any toy that catches your eye that is for a child anywhere in age range of 3-12 and bring it in. NourishPHX will put it to good use! All gifts will be blessed on the altar on December 7!
Please do not have items shipped directly to the Cathedral. If you would like to ship a gift, email Deacon Myra (myra@trinitycathedral.com) to get an address to mail things to. Thank You!

We pray for peace,
for goodwill among nations, and for the well-being of all people. We pray for our President and for the Congress, the Cabinet, and the Supreme Court. We pray for justice and peace, particularly in Gaza, Israel, and in Ukraine & Russia, in Sudan and in the Congo.
We ask your prayers for the poor,
the sick, the hungry, the oppressed, and those in prison, particularly those who are being removed from this country without due process and those being removed in spite of being in legal immigration processes. We pray for those losing or being priced out of healthcare or SNAP. We pray for all those who are afraid in these times.
We commend to your mercy all who have died, that your will for them may be fulfilled; and we pray that we may share with all your saints in your eternal kingdom.
We pray for: Jill, Glen, John, Scott, Kathy, and the de la Cruz family.
We give thanks for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week.
