FOSTER FUTURES TOGETHER
Does your child need a little extra help with school? Foster Futures Together (FFT) connects motivated high school students who serve as tutors to K-8 students in foster care. Once enrolled in the program, youth in care will have access to weekly free virtual tutoring sessions, in which FFT’s high school volunteers can help with homework problems, exam questions and general understanding of course material. KEYS TO SUCCESS SPOTLIGHT: BRAELYNN
When she first enrolled in the Keys to Success program, Braelynn was rather shy and quiet. She told us she loved photography and envisioned one day attending Arizona State University to study photojournalism. She had an immediate goal of getting a job, preferably in retail.

SCHOLAR SPOTLIGHT: AMANDA
Amanda is a junior at NAU and a modern language major (focusing on French and Chinese). She is one of 69 students in the AFFCF scholarship program. For the Spring 2021 and Fall 2021 semesters, she will be studying at Université Savoie-Mont-Blanc in France. She shares her thoughts in her own words:

My goal in life is to try multiple things I am passionate about, so I am content with what I did during my lifetime. I want to live a full life of experiences so I can tell my future children that it is possible to follow your dreams and it’s okay if your original plans take you in another direction. I want to live a life where I can provide my future family a ground of stability and fill their lives with love and support, something that people like me who aged out of the system were unfortunately not always guaranteed. VNSA BOOKSALE UPDATE
The hard-working volunteers of the Volunteer Nonprofit Service Association (VNSA) are postponing their annual book sale for 2021, but they are still hard at work collecting, sorting, pricing and getting books ready for the 2022 Book Sale. A visit to the VNSA warehouse found the volunteers socially distanced and hard at work.

Over the 30 years of our partnership, the VNSA has improved the lives of countless children in foster care with donations totaling more than $1.5 million from the annual book sale. Read more...
