Dear Friends,
Well it's been a rather remarkable start to the new year. In the course of one week's time we witnessed some stirring images - from the siege of our country's Capitol to the generous display of humanity during the presidential inauguration. A feeling of hopefulness infused me while I sat glued to the tv the entire day of the inauguration. How blissful to feel a sense of celebration again.
I'm not one for New Year's resolutions, but I think it's important to consider how we might approach things differently this year. What would happen if we all took quite seriously the notion of leading with love and compassion and tolerance. I have seen how easy it is to hate, to rush to feelings of anger, intolerance and punishment. I prefer the rush of love - both in the directions of giving and receiving.
I try to share with you here the things that nourish me, that catch my attention and arouse my curiosity, that cause me to pause, to explore, to simply celebrate...the things that matter to me. And I have been brought to these places by so many others who have given so generously to me their time and knowledge, and who have shared their passions.
We all have so much to give and so much to receive. Let's all keep our hearts open this year. Let's give the best that we have and accept the best in others.
Happy New 2021!
