2020 Seniors Reflect
As the school year rolls ever-closer to graduation, members of the Senior class will share some thoughts about what EAA has meant to them and what they will miss once graduation is over and they are alumni.

"I will really miss the family aspect of our school and how caring and genuine the teachers are." Kiana "Kiki" Shetler - Senior Class President

A new semester begins and EAA is very happy to welcome seven new students to the EAA family Middle school is delighted to have Rachel Perrington (grade 8) and Adam Perrington (grade 7) as additions to the school. They are from Oceanside.

We LOVE Our EAA Dads!
The annual celebration of EAA Dads... Donuts With Dads ...was held on December 20, 2019. Music provided by grades TK-5 and the 5th grade band made everyone smile and feel the holiday spirit. Thank you Dads for the great support and thank you teachers for planning such a special time with these most important men in the students' lives.

High School Tutors Are Ready
Start 2nd Semester with strong academics. On Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, the library is open until 4:30 for students in K-8. Students have always used this time slot to take AR tests, but now the purpose for the library staying open has really expanded. Several high school students have generously volunteered their time to tutor. Math, so far, has been the most common request, but this opportunity can include any subject area. This study opportunity is available for YOU!
Ice Plex Fun
Grades TK-5 kicked off Christmas break with a fun morning at the Escondido Ice Plex on Friday, December 20, 2019. This was the perfect end to first semester.
Escondido Toy Drive
In preparation for the Holiday season, EAA partnered with the Boy's and Girl's Club of San Diego in a toy drive. The club supports children in low-income families and works to make their world a little brighter, especially during the holidays. The goal for the toy drive was to provide a toy for each child. With the generous help of the EAA Family, along with others in the Escondido community, this goal was reached. Just see the smiles on the faces to know the impact your gift had on these children. Thank you for your support of this project.
Pastors on EAA Campus
EAA is excited to have pastors present on our campus. We have always had great support from our pastors as visitors, chapel speakers, substitutes, etc...

At the start of the new semester, we have taken an additional step, with the help of our constituent pastors, to provide additional opportunities for our students to connect with our pastors. On most Tuesdays and Thursdays during the third quarter between 11:30am-1:30pm, pastors are scheduled to be on campus for students who may want to seek counsel, receive spiritual guidance, have prayer, or just find a listening ear.

We want to thank our pastors for their support of our students, and for their willingness to be present and establish relationships. We pray that God will continue to bless the efforts to serve our students here at EAA.
Where In The World Are EAA Alumni?
Brooklyn Brown &
Chloe Cochran - PUC
Juan Hidalgo III &
Nick Borchik
Mickey Zhang - UC Davis
Zach Tapia - PUC
During a recent trip to Northern California, Mr. Davis ran into a couple of "young" alumni. It was great to see some of our fairly recent graduates enjoying the college experience and beyond. EAA alumni are doing big things, and we love knowing what they are up to.

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go...”

The Davis Principles
Hawks Family,

Happy New Year, Hawks Family! It is certainly hard to believe that it is January, 2020, and we have begun the second semester of the school year. I hope that you all enjoyed time with loved ones over the break. It is always nice to have a little bit of time to celebrate the gifts that have been given to us, and enjoy time with family.

As we recognize the blessings that we have been given, may we start the new year by being a blessing to those around us. Jesus told us in Luke 7:38, "if you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use in giving - large or small - it will be used to measure what is given to you." Be a blessing, and receive a blessing.

May this new year allow each of us to find ways to be a blessing, and in return, watch God press it down, shake it up, and make it overflow. As we do, that blessing will return to us in full measure.

Blessings to you in 2020!

Bill Davis
TK-12 Principal
