A New York Lamentation: A Play About Slavery

by the Rev. Chuck Kramer

Six historical figures from New York's slavery era meet to tell their stories. From supporters of slavery to abolitionists to formerly enslaved men and women, each has to reckon with the evil they witnessed and, in some cases, participated in.

A New York Lamentation: A Play About Slavery is a good introduction for clergy, parishioners, youth groups, confirmation classes and Sunday school students to connect with a history not often told - and yet it is a history that impacts us to this day.

Admission is free.
