Brush High School Welcomes New Students
Brush High School provided a special breakfast on Friday morning to give students new to the school this year a warm welcome. Students met a variety of school staff and were joined by student ambassadors and members of the Kindness Club.
After introductions, students and staff had an opportunity to mix and mingle, chat about how their transitions to Brush are going, and discuss what our new students might still need as they continue to acclimate to their new school.
Welcome to this great group of new Arcs!

SEL Schools Partners with The Music Settlement
The SEL Schools Band Program is excited to announce a new partnership with The Music Settlement!
This partnership opens the door for SEL students to receive high-quality private music instruction taught by expert musicians from The Music Settlement of Cleveland. Beyond individual lessons, students will have access to specialized jazz ensembles, group studios, and a variety of performance opportunities designed to deepen their skills and passion for music. Additionally, families can explore financial aid options through The Music Settlement, as well as valuable support from the Mayor of Lyndhurst’s Music Scholarship Program, making this opportunity accessible to many of our young musicians and families. This collaboration truly elevates our band program and enriches the musical journey for all involved!

SEL PTA Celebrates 75 Years of Service
For 75 years, the SEL PTA has proudly served both our schools and the greater community through service, advocacy, and support for all children. Over the decades, the PTA has led countless initiatives, including:
- Partnering with the League of Women Voters to provide nonpartisan voting information
- Working with health organizations and local doctors to host polio vaccine clinics, dental exams, and community health lectures
- Offering parent education classes on timely topics
- Promoting literacy through book drives, read-a-thons, and reading programs
- Purchasing playground equipment to enhance outdoor recreation
- Awarding teacher grants for classroom materials
- Encouraging parent involvement through classroom volunteer opportunities
- Raising funds for scholarships for Brush High School graduates pursuing higher education
- Hosting family events such as carnivals, dances, and science fairs
In recognition of these efforts and many more, the SEL PTA was recently honored as a Hometown Hero by South Euclid’s Community Development Corporation. PTA members and school administrators were in attendance to celebrate this milestone.
