SAN PEDRO, Calif. – June 18, 2019
– The sun is shining, school is out and there’s no better time to check out all there is to see and do on the LA Waterfront at the Port of Los Angeles. Many of the Port’s free signature events — Cars & Stripes Forever!®,
movie nights under the stars, and LA Fleet Week® — are among some of the most popular annual traditions in and around the LA Waterfront.
Independence Day celebrations are never complete without a visit to the Cars & Stripes Forever! classic car show, which features more than 100 cars built before 1975, in addition to exotic models and motorcycles. Now in its 11
th
year, the Port-sponsored event will be held on Friday, June 28, from 5-10 p.m., at Harbor Boulevard and the Vincent Thomas Bridge. The night wraps up with a grand fireworks finale at 9:15 p.m.
While at Cars & Stripes Forever!, attendees can also visit booths from the Los Angeles Chargers, California Harley, T-Mobile, Los Angeles Port Police, U.S. Army and Navy, Special Olympics and more. Visitors can grab a scoop at the Tillamook Ice Cream booth, a frothy mug at the beer garden hosted by the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, or a fresh cup of joe at the San Pedro Rotary Club’s beverage booth.
