American Workspace web store software allows us to easily add or modify our product offerings. This month we have added over 300 product
Catalogs and Manuals, all at absolutely No Charge. Catalogs are usually complete line catalogs or brochures, while Manuals are usually how-to documents. You can view these online or download to your own computer. If you don't see what you need, let us know; we will be adding and updating this section often.

In Our Shop - The Bentas Raven !!!
|
The Raven is a custom car designed and hand-built in the 1950s by Arthur Bentas. Arthur grew up in Chelmsford, Massachusetts on his family's chicken farm. It was there, in an old chicken coop, that he toiled for nine years perfecting the Raven. In 1959 he completed the car and won the 1959 NHRA National Champion Custom Car Show in Detroit, MI. In 1959 and 1960, the Raven won over 25 subsequent awards. In 1961, Arthur put the car on blocks and covered it, where it sat relegated to the back of his shop for nearly 50 years.
In May of 2007 I was lucky enough to wake the old custom out of its long slumber. On March 6, 2009 we debuted the restored Raven to Arthur and the world at the Detroit Autorama show, 50 years after claiming the 1959 NHRA National Champion Custom Car Show trophy. The Raven, bearing a fresh restoration, done in our own shop, claimed first place honors in the Radical Custom Convertible class that weekend. A truly remarkable feat.
In 2010, the Raven was selected for inclusion in the prestigious Customs Then and Now exhibit at the 2011 Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, CA. In August of 2012, the Raven competed in the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the world's premier celebration of the automobile. The Raven had also been displayed for over a year at the Petersen Museum in Los Angles, CA. The Raven now sits proudly on the floor at the Owls Head Transportation Museum in Owls Head, Maine. Arthur, at a spry 94 years old, still visits the Museum and rides in the Raven often.
