Some know, and others do not, that my Son BJ had battled a heart condition for the past 4 years called Cardiomyopathy.  Essentially it is a virus that attacks the heart and weakens it.  When it was discovered, it had done irreparable damage, and he was placed on the heart transplant list.  To bridge the time until he could get a new heart, the Doctors installed a device called an LVAD.  It kept him stable, but was a complex machine that was powered by a controller and two batteries he wore in a satchel around his neck.  If interested, you can learn more about what an LVAD does by clicking here:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ventricular_assist_device 

For 4 years, he has had to take an incredible amount of medicine, administer shots to himself, and has had setbacks resulting in numerous and lengthy stays at the hospital.

The amazing thing is he never complained, and in between stays at Medical City Dallas, continued to work helping people buy cars.

During the Car Pro show on August 10, he had to be taken to the hospital where emergency surgery was performed.  His suffering ended peacefully on Thursday, August 15^th at 7:15 PM, surrounded by family and friends that loved him very much.

Many have noticed that the shows have been repeats for the last two weeks, and you now know the reason.  We will be back on air live this weekend, and I will resume normal duties next week, reviewing a vehicle and a full newsletter.
