An Update from us on COVID-19
Dear Redmond Tennis Club Family,

What interesting times we live in. Who would have thought in this day and age we'd see people quarantined in other countries and local businesses would mandated to close? Yet Seattle stands at the epicenter of the COVID-19 virus epidemic in the USA. It's surreal. I'm reading on CNBC that this is our generation's equivalent of WWII. It's always easier to tell in retrospect than in the moment. Time will tell.

First and foremost we hope that all in our community are safe. Secondly, 24 hours a day with our kids - oh boy! Maybe if we think about it, a little time out of our scheduled lives is not that bad. I like to look at the bright side of situations and the opportunities in front of me. I'm fortunate that I love what I do and am surrounded by an incredible community of people at the Club. I haven't always stopped and said thank you to all of you. THANK YOU for allowing me to be a part of this.

With that being said there are a few thing that I am sure need clarification:

  • All packs will be extended as needed. Once the club opens, please reach out to RTC and we will handle these on an individual basis.
  • We are closed through the end of March as per the Governor's orders.
  • We are trying to make plans, adjust to the current situation, and provide value to our community-please give us a little time. We are working behind the scenes to plan some things to help you improve your tennis, even if it isn't on a court.
  • We're doing the best we can for all of us, reach out to us if you need something.

"It is said an Eastern monarch once charged his wise men to invent him a sentence to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. They presented him the words, 'And this too, shall pass away.' How much it expresses! How chastening in the hour of pride! How consoling in the depths of affliction!" --Abraham Lincoln

This too shall pass, and in the meantime we do our best. We are fortunate that at this time all staff are healthy and for that we are truly grateful. They are a fantastic group of people. I'm looking froward to opening up and seeing everyone again.
