MEET OUR MONSTER BASH CO-CHAIRS

DR. BRAD & RENNIE JENKINS

Dr. Brad and Rennie Jenkins both grew up in North Little Rock and have a deep connection to their Central Arkansas roots. Because of this connection, Brad felt it was important to give back to the community by practicing medicine where he had grown up. He does so as a physician at the Baptist Health Family Clinic-Lakewood and as the Emergency Medical Director at Baptist Health, Medical Center, North Little Rock.

As a realtor for Jon Underhill Real Estate, Rennie understands the value of a peaceful home environment. She loves that Home for Healing offers such a loving and home-like atmosphere for guests going through difficult times. With Brad’s medical perspective and her insight into the importance of feeling at home, she feels the opportunity to chair Monster Bash was a perfect fit!

Brad and Rennie are thrilled to serve as event chairs for Monster Bash 2023. They are excited to make it bigger and better than ever. They are especially focused on making the auction the best it can be and encourage auction item donations!

To purchase tickets, donate, become a sponsor, or donate an auction item, please visit the Monster Bash website.

Last month The 4300 Club combined forces with post-doctorate cancer researchers at UAMS to host its second Community Connections event. These quarterly events are meant to break down the silos of cancer research for patients and researchers. Our next event will take place in October. The 4300 Club is looking forward to hosting its annual Fall Cookout at the Home on September 19th, Follow The 4300 Club on Facebook and Instagram.

MEET OUR NEW DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR!

-Megan Boswell-

Please help us welcome our new Development Director, Megan Boswell! Megan has a background in early childhood education, having taught in various capacities for over 20 years. She loves to build relationships and has a heart for service, hospitality, and making people feel safe. She is excited to join the Home for Healing team and share the amazing work we’re doing! In her personal life, she has been married for twenty years and has one teenage daughter.

Congratulations, L.J.!

After 97 days, L.J. and Dee went home CANCER FREE! We know L.J.’s road has been long and difficult, and we are grateful for the privilege of watching him cross the finish line. We are so happy for him to begin this new chapter of his cancer-free life!

We are delighted that L.J. was able to use the new bell donated by one of our previous guests, Don. L.J. is the second to ring it after Don himself. It was truly remarkable to hear L.J. read the poem and ring the bell loud and proud for all to hear. We can’t wait to use it for more guests entering remission, more parents going home with their babies, and more families whose loved ones have been released from ICU. We look forward to hearing its joyful sound for years to come!

If you haven't seen L.J. ring the bell yet, you can watch the video here.
