Dear Buckhall Family & Friends,
Greetings to all of you in the name of Christ!
How are you, and how is it with your soul? My family and I are doing great, and I hope you are having a great weekend as well.
Tomorrow, we will conclude our worship series, "On Purpose." The theme for worship and the title of the sermon is, "Will Purpose Make Me Happy?"
In a world that often prioritizes "happiness," God invites us into a broader vision of faith and true flourishing. It’s interesting how we tend to use the word "happy" or "happiness" much more often than "joy" or "joyful," isn’t it? We often ask, "Are you happy?" but rarely do we ask, "Are you joyful?"
This Sunday, we will explore the difference between happiness and joy, and how both we and the world often prioritize happiness over joy. We will also look at how God calls us to live and think more deeply about our lives and our faith journey through the lens of joy.
If you’re able to join us this Sunday, please come! Let's worship the Lord with joy and excitement!
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend, and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
Grace & Peace,
Rev. Han Yi
