Greetings!
January 6, 2022

Once again, we are writing to update you on our current protocols and practices in light of the increasing COVID infection rates. On the advice of our leadership, and in close conversation with appropriate medical experts, we will again require masks at all worship services and meetings at Christ Church (Church, Markley Chapel, All Saints Center & Parish House) beginning immediately.

We know “masking” has grown increasingly tiresome and inconvenient; however, it is still the best and most effective step in preventing the spread of COVID. Sharing meals is at the center of our common life, and even our worship practice. Yet, the likelihood of spreading the COVID virus while sharing table fellowship is a possibility too serious to ignore.

Therefore, we will also be unable to serve food or offer beverages at meetings or other events being held on our campus.

Despite these adjustments, ministry continues at Christ Church. Sunday School returns this Sunday, January 9. We will hold services, Bible studies, classes, meetings, and other volunteer opportunities as planned. Soup sales will continue as normal. Please join us as you are able and feel comfortable to do so.

We are monitoring the situation daily and you can expect an update with plans moving forward from me by Monday, January 31, 2022 at the latest.

We continue to appreciate your commitment to our parish and our shared ministry. I am also grateful for your prayers and support as we continue to navigate these challenging times.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call either me or Dena Benedict, Senior Warden.

Blessings,
The Rev. Dr. Harrison McLeod
