FEBRUARY 2021
Hello Friend of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta,

As always, we remain committed to the safety and wellbeing of our Club members and staff, and could not be more thrilled to be able to continue to provide young people with educational opportunities, social & emotional wellness, guidance & positive activities bringing the fun back into the lives of youth and providing a safe, fun place for kids to be kids.

We want to thank all of our Club members for making the start of this year so special already.

Be sure to register your child, if you haven’t already done so, to join in on the fun! Find out more by reading below.

Thank you all again for your continuous support. From all of us here at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta, we wish you and your family a winter season filled with all the simple things that matter most. Communities that care for each other thrive together.

With the utmost appreciation,

Noam Zimin,

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

We have a long-standing tradition at the Club, Feel Good Fridays, a day that celebrates fun, inclusion, and kindness. Where Club kids can have a pizza party, participate in special games & activities, or even a have fun-filled snow day. Where Club staff recognize individual youth for their random acts of kindness during that week, and empower Club members to remain resilient, kind, and compassionate, especially in the face of adversity.

To all of our Club members, here's a special Feel Good Friday message from CNN host and best-selling author Van Jones.

FUN FROM LAST MONTH
Last month, we were so excited to welcome our Club members back in-person! The fun and excitement were high, as Club members reconnected with their peers, engaged in enriching positive activities, received academic assistance, and were able to have fun and be kids (with lots of dancing of course.)

The fun didn't stop there as the Club hosted a Winter Wonderland pizza party with hot cocoa, hot cider, and lots of winter fun such as snowman building, sledding and more!
WAYS TO SUPPORT THE CLUB
DO YOU SHOP ON AMAZON?!
HERE IS AN EASY WAY TO GIVE TO YOUTH:
Did you know that by simply purchasing your regular Amazon purchases and Holiday gifts through Amazon Smile, Amazon donates .05% of your purchases to the Club with no impact on your purchase total?

Let's break this down a bit...

According to Amazon, the average family spends about $100/month on Amazon purchases. That means over the course of a year, your purchases could result in a $60 donation to the Club. Multiply that by all of our supporters, and imagine the change you can make for Siskiyou County youth!

If you have any questions, please call our Office at 530-220-7623.
