Dear friends in the Diocese of Florida,
What an incredible week of celebration and generosity we have shared! On Sunday, May 31, parishes across our diocese celebrated Camp Weed Sunday, lifting up Camp Weed & Cerveny Conference Center in prayer, song, and shared memories. Then, on June 3, our diocese answered the call to support this beloved ministry during our Camp Weed Day of Giving.
Whether you wore your favorite camp shirt to church, shared a story of spiritual transformation, or made a financial gift, thank you for supporting Camp Weed & Cerveny Conference Center.
As we celebrate our "Year 102: A Place to Renew," we look at a theme with a beautiful, dual meaning. Camp Weed is, first and foremost, a sacred space where we go to be spiritually renewed—a place to find solitude, peace, and a refreshed soul in the presence of God and one another. At the same time, "renewal" is physically happening all around us. Over the past year, Camp Weed has undergone major, much-needed campus renovations, and that vital work is still actively in progress.
To give you a glimpse of how your generosity is actively preserving Camp Weed & Cerveny Conference Center, here is a look at the major renewal projects currently underway or recently completed:
