DEAR VALUED PARTNERS, In the South, September means college football—a time when competition and cooperation go hand in hand. Like top football coaches rely on the 5P’s—Planning, Partnership, Process, Passion, and People—to achieve victory, our mission at Travel South USA is to hit our $10 billion international spending target.
Last month, we delved into Planning and Partnerships. This month, let’s focus on the Process—our approach to global marketing, sales, and product development. Our strategy is clear: Accelerate Global Insights, Create Custom Campaigns through Strategic Partnerships, Execute In-Market Activations, Highlight Signature Programs, and Prioritize Managed Media Activities.
A streamlined process is essential with a robust network of twelve state tourism departments, hundreds of DMO communities, accommodations, attractions and experiences, valuable vendors, and rep firms. This September, our global teams are busy executing the plays: in-market activations in France, launching campaigns in Australia and Canada, training programs in Brazil; curating 60,000+ bespoke newsletters in nine languages, finalizing details for the International Showcase in Atlanta; opening registration for Global Week 2025 and Media FAMS; and curating our social media presence in19 countries, including India.
Each play is vital to our offense and special teams playbook. Your engagement is key to turning our collective goals into reality. Please reach out to the Travel South team or your state tourism office to ensure you are not left on the sidelines.
Let’s Go TEAM!
