September 2019
We hope you enjoy this month's inspirational stories showcasing A Promise of We , and the vital role you play. With your help, we can further our mission of advancing the quality of life for people with disabilities. Together, we are better!
Why we're better together!
We recently gathered staff and individuals we serve for a professional photo shoot for marketing purposes. We had so much fun, laughing and smiling together! As part of the process, we asked people we serve what they love about OP. Read what they said in this month's blog post. and we think you'll be smiling too!
Back to work, thanks to you
Three strokes in one day in 2007 left Diane O'Flanagan with a devastating brain injury. She lost her job as a nursing assistant and foundered for several years before connecting with OP's Brain Injury program.

Her primary goal: to get back to work. With OP's support, Diane now works four days per week for Bon Appétit in the Best Buy headquarters. "Opportunity Partners got me back out in the community and socializing again," Diane said. You can hire great workers like Diane too! Learn how today.
Caring neighbors
Your support still needed
Our community continues to rally around Jim Bjorneby, Ken Carlson and Ken Mundale, who lost their home and all their possessions when OP's Ensign Residence burned on June 12.

The guys and staff from Ensign recently attended a National Night Out block party in their old neighborhood for the chance to enjoy ice cream and talk to their neighbors about the fire.

As we continue to work toward a new home, we have learned of significant gaps in uncovered costs. Your support is critical. YOU can make a difference with a special gift today. Help Jim, Ken and Ken feel like they are home once again.

Thanks to the heartwarming generosity of an OP family, donations are being matched - up to $50,000. Donate today
Celebrating our amazing staff
September 8-14 is National Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Recognition Week! At Opportunity Partners, our 375 DSPs help advance the quality of life for people with disabilities every day. We salute our DSPs, and you can too by liking and sharing our social media posts during DSP Week. We'll be using the hashtags #SeeOurDSPs and #DSPRW2019. In this photo, Jackie Helm and her dog Ketchup enjoy some time with Sam at OP-Karlins Center. Sam and his peers helped build an agility course for the active border collie during a class at the center. "It's fun watching people served light up when they realize Ketchup is here for a visit," said Jackie, who has worked at OP for six years.
