Celebrating success!
Thanks to everyone who turned out for our annual Success Celebration on September 15 at the Hyland Hills Chalet in Bloomington. Awards representing our values of Impact, Choice, Heart and Partnership, along with Spirit, were given to Torin, Emily, Ken, Alan and Warren. Read more about their accomplishments, and the role you play in their success!
The Right Talent, Right Now
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, a time to educate about disability employment issues and celebrate the many contributions of workers with disabilities. This year's theme is "The Right Talent, Right Now." OP helped Darren May find his career at Target 13 years ago. He has worked a variety of jobs there, currently serving as a cashier and training in new cashiers. Throughout October, we'll be sharing our stories of inclusion and celebrating the abilities of all workers. Do you have an employment success story to share? Let us know!
We are grateful for you
Annual donor luncheon
Thank you to everyone who attended the September 19 donor appreciation luncheon at the beautiful Minikahda Club in Minneapolis. Your support makes an impact! Together we can advance the quality of life for people with disabilities.
Amber is happy; so are we!
You've made Opportunity Partners a place Amber loves. When Amber, 21, learned about OP from a friend, she couldn't wait to start. Not happy at her last day program, she was excited for a new opportunity. "I like meeting new friends," Amber said. "I heard Opportunity Partners was a good place." Now Amber is surrounded by friends and staff have helped her find jobs she enjoys. With your support, Amber is gaining new skills, becoming more independent, and learning to advocate for herself. She is happy, and so are we! You can make a gift today to ensure people of all abilities are supported and celebrated!
