A Quarterly Communication From

PATH Intl. CEO Kathy Alm

December 2018
As I reflect on 2018, there is much to be grateful for: the opportunity to lead this organization and work with members on initiatives that are important to you and for the field; the time spent in the field, hearing directly from members about your triumphs and challenges; the experience of partnering with people and associations from all over the world who focus on best practices and benefits of the human-animal connection; and last but certainly not least, my partner, friends, family, colleagues, staff and my dog who make up a rich network of support, laughter and new experiences.

As I look forward to 2019, I am excited about the work ahead as PATH Intl. continues on the trek to accreditation for the registered level therapeutic riding instructor certification, tackles the issue of confusing terminology, as well as focuses on members and what is important to you, what you want the association to offer and focus on. We will celebrate the 50th anniversary of PATH Intl. next year--50 years of promoting safety and optimal outcomes in equine-assisted activities and therapies for individuals with special needs; 50 years of supporting individual and center members and the equines who provide life-changing opportunities every day.

Today's update is a short and simple message. I wish you the best this holiday season and look forward to working together in 2019 to set the vision for the next 50 years.

All the Best,
Kathy Alm sig
