CUNY IN THE NEWS
STUDENT CENTER
Jazmin Ramirez, BCC, is a first-generation American whose family is from the Dominican Republic. She once dropped out of college because she wasn't getting the support she needed, but now, at BCC, she’s the president of the Student Government Association and has served as a delegate for the University Student Senate. Jasmin hopes to transfer to Baruch.
Jazmin’s advice: “On campus, be as proactive as you possibly can be. I was able to succeed so much better when I asked my adviser every question I had, which showed me every resource that BCC could provide to help me with my academic and everyday needs.”
