Pacifica Fishing Merit Badge Day
A Reel Adventure!
Scouts set sail on an epic half-day fishing quest aboard the mighty Monte Carlo, launching from 22nd Street Sportfishing in San Pedro. With rods in hand and ocean spray in the air, they chased the catch of the day and learned the ropes of real-life angling.
But the adventure didn’t stop there! After reeling in the fun, Scouts trekked on a 20-minute hike to the Cabrillo Beach Youth Center, where they swapped fish tales and settled in for a night by the sea.

Training Tomorrow’s Officers
Arcadia Police Department Explorer Advisors train our Explorers on how to safely and effectively conduct high-risk traffic stops involving vehicles connected to felony crimes. The training focuses on tactical skills, situational awareness, and proper procedures to ensure the safety of both officers and suspects during these high-stakes encounters. These techniques are later put to the test during Explorer competitions, where our Explorers compete against other posts to demonstrate their proficiency and teamwork.
