Leo Baekeland graduated with a doctorate from the University at the age of 21.
He was a member of 't Zal Wel Gaan
(It Will Go),
the club for liberal thinking students and professors which is still active today.
A reception will follow in Krook Café at De Krook located at 1 Miriam Makebaplein Ghent, Belgium 3:45 - 5:00 pm.

On a table in each location, Hugh displayed his family Bakelite heirlooms and jewelry by Bakelite artist, Jorge Caicedo. A few people even brought their own Bakelite treasures to show him.
