MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

November 18, 2024

Here at the State Chamber, we’re preparing our next budget and working on a new strategic plan that will guide our work for the next three years. We’re excited about this draft plan and appreciate the input many of you provided by sharing your thoughts in our recent member survey. Our strategic planning committee unanimously endorsed the plan, which will now be considered by the Board of Directors in early December. If the draft is adopted and remains largely unchanged, you will see a renewed focus on our core mission of advocacy for the business community.

As we've moved through the strategic planning process this year, we've taken a hard look at ourselves to ensure everything we do is mission-centric. As a result, we revised our dues structure to better define your investment and areas of participation. This also means that some of what I will call our “legacy events” will no longer be a part of part of our annual agenda.

We are refocusing and redirecting our efforts to the priorities you spelled out for us. As the pre-eminent statewide business organization, we are committed to making and sustaining Delaware as a top state for job creation, economic activity, and quality of life. We’re excited about this direction and look forward to sharing the official plans with you soon!
