Dear members of the Law and Society Association,

Greetings! We write as the incoming Editors in Chief of the Law & Society Review. We are proud to continue the journal’s legacy as a forum for rigorous and richly interdisciplinary law and society scholarship, and we look forward to supporting the journal as it enters its 7th decade of publication!

In our brief tenure so far we have been struck by the difficulty of obtaining peer reviewers for manuscripts submitted to the journal. This is a general phenomenon across academic publishing, of course, but we have something that the rest of the research community does not: You! Members of a quirky, exciting, richly diverse field.

As a member, your input as peer reviewers for the journal is vital to its success. Law & Society Review has been the main forum for sharing work and shaping debates in our interdisciplinary field. The contributions of peer reviewers have ensured the highest standards of scholarship, as well as that interdisciplinary magic that makes Law & Society Review such a vibrant forum.

Soon, you will receive an email from ScholarOne, the platform LSR uses for manuscript submissions and peer review. On behalf of the journal and the Association, we ask for your participation by completing your profile, including areas for which you might be willing to review manuscripts.

We will be holding a roundtable at the upcoming Law and Society Association meetings in San Francisco celebrating the journal’s 60th year and look forward to seeing you there!

Warmly,

Lee Cabatingan
